Our firm represented a disabled woman who was traveling down a South Dade sidewalk in her motorized scooter, when her foot struck a guy wire connected to a nearby utility pole. Through an investigation our firm conducted, we were able to determine that the sidewalk was negligently constructed, creating a dangerous condition in which the guy wire caused an obstruction to people using the sidewalk. Our client sustained a significant injury to her foot. We were able to obtain a settlement which not only satisfied all medical expenses but allowed her to improve her quality of life going into the future.
